Do your students love bats, spiders, and all things sugar? So I bet they love Halloween, don’t they?
Halloween is amazing because it’s fun for all, including adults, but also because Halloween-themed activities really make students pay attention and participate.
In today’s post, I’ve got a FREE no-prep activity for you: French halloween reading cut and paste worksheet!
French Halloween Reading Comprehension
There is one text about a haunted house, and there are blanks in the text for kiddos to fill out.
Instead of writing, your kiddos will be cutting and pasting the words into place.
In addition to this fine motor skills practice, the sensorial aspect of manipulating the words and not just copying them will help your students pay attention to the text and remember more of what they’re learning.
After filling in the blanks, now it’s time to answer two reading comprehension questions about the text.
And before they get to say: “I’m done!”, they have to read the text three times to get those reading fluency muscles going.
They color a circle for each time they read the text.
